I've been practicing yoga since the 1970s; my practice has evolved considerably. I have come to believe that the intent of my practice is far more important than the appearance of my poses. I aspire to treat my body with reverence, love, respect, and humor. I hope to help you do the same. Yoga is about accepting your body, treating it well, and challenging it in a just right way to be a healthier more balanced you. I have 500+ hours of yoga teacher training (RYT 500) and in 2017 received my yoga therapist certification
(C-IAYT) from the International Association of Yoga Therapists. "Aging is an extraordinary process where you become the person you always should have been." ...David Bowie |
In I'm also an occupational therapist with experience in mental health practice, school based practice, sensory integration, assistive technology, and wellness. In 2014, I led a team based initiative to bring a research based daily yoga practice to Hanover County Public Schools. This daily yoga practice helps students with autism, intellectual and emotional disabilities improve their self-regulation skills thereby increasing their readiness for learning. Results have been extremely positive. In 2021, now retired, I revised/updated the school based program for Hanover County Public Schools.
